Lapping Film

Nanolap Lapping Film is designed and manufactured to provide a uniform, consistent finish on various surfaces. These lapping films are produced with a tight particle distribution and deliver a consistent cut rate, finish and life. Offered in 0.03-40 μm grades, with or without pressure-sensitive adhesive (PSA) backing.

All Nanolap lapping films are available in almost any size, shape and configuration and manufactured in the USA.

Aluminum Oxide Lapping Film

High-quality lapping films using tightly-graded aluminum oxide particles coated on a polyester film. Provides precision finishes in diverse applications including polishing of industrial rolls (Coating, Calendaring, Etc.), Bearings, Precision Shafts, Optical Lens and other applications requiring controlled surface finishes on metals, alloys, and ceramics.

Available in discs, sheets, tapes, and rolls, with or without pressure-sensitive adhesive (PSA).

Applications

Roll polishing, micromotor shaft polishing, CD/DVD stamper, fiber optics, electronics, semiconductors, flat lapping; precision finishing of metals and alloys.

NLT™ 86-series Final Polishing Films are produced by a precision coating of silicon dioxide on a polyester film. These products are used for the final step of polishing fiber optic connectors and will help you achieve a consistently superior surface finish. Our 86 Series is available in a range of grades from 10 nm to 10 microns.
