Microfinishing Film
Nanolap Microfinishing Film is a more durable abrasive film that that is available in a 3 mil or 5 mil backing. The durable polyester film base provides flexibility for consistent finishing on variable surfaces. It is offered in 3 types of abrasive components – Aluminum Oxide (36M and 37M), Silicon Carbide (47M) and Diamond (67P). These films are produced to meet strict surface requirements and deliver consistent, uniformed results. These Microfinshing Films are offered in a wide range of grades from 9-125 μm, with or without pressure-sensitive adhesive (PSA) backing.
All Nanolap Microfinishing Films are available in almost any size, shape and configuration and manufactured in the USA.
Aluminum Oxide Microfinishing Film
36M, 37M Aluminum Oxide Microfinishing Film
- Micron-graded aluminum oxide mineral achieves a fast cut-rate and provides a uniform, consistent finish
- High-strength, uniform polyester film backing can be run with coolant
- Frictional back size coating provides anti-slip friction property for microfinishing camshafts and crankshafts
- Ideal for automotive powertrain applications, roll superfinishing and precision manufacturing
- Available in 9-100 micron grades and long length rolls
- Available in disc, sheets, belts and rolls (straight or scalloped edges)
Silicon Carbide Microfinishing Film
47M Silicon Carbide Microfinishing Film
- Tightly-graded silicon carbide particles uniformly coated onto a polyester film backing.

- Available in disc, sheets, belts and rolls (straight or scalloped edges)
